Mechanical Testing

Long Term/High Temperature Mechanical Testing

  • Prediction of long term or high temperature performance of actual plastic parts

Izod Impact
Used primarily to measure the resistance to impact, Izod impact testing is also used to determine notch sensitivity.

  • Room Temperature and Elevated Temperature Testing
  • Notched and Un notched Testing
  • ASTM and ISO Testing Methods

Drop Weight Impact test
This apparatus is used to measure impact resistance at different speeds. The load is applied through a falling dart at user defined speeds. The results of this test can determine toughness, energy absorption and load deflection.

  • Wide Range of Test Methods
  • Variable Temperature Testing
  • Measures Rigidity and Modulus of Material

Tensile and Flexural
Some of the most useful testing methods, tensile and flex tests can provide many types of information; most importantly stress/strain curves. To expand the versatility of these tests, elevated and lower temperature tests are common.

  • ASTM and ISO Testing Methods
  • Custom Test Methods
  • Variable Temperature Testing
  • Variable Speed Testing
